10 basics math formula

Basics mathematics formula that can help you during your math exams.

These basics formula is simple to memorise, and if you don’t know all these simple math formula it can cause harm during exams because it just like it simple but if you don’t know it it can affect a lot, REMEMBERED ONE MARK ALONE GOES ALONG WAY.

POLYGON

These are the formula that you can use to find all polygon of different sizes

A polygon is Is a plane figure that are that contains different line segments joined together.

TYPES OF POLYGON ARE

  • TRIANGLE (Trigon ) = 3
  • QUARDRILATERAL (Tetragon) = 4
  • PENTAGON = 5
  • HEXAGON = 6
  • HEPTAGON = 7
  • OCTAGON = 8
  • NONAGON = 9
  • DECAGON = 10

POLYGON FORMULA

Giving that n is the side of the polygon and S is the length from the corner of the polygon

AREA OF POLYGON

 (1/2) N sin(360°/n) S2

½ × n × Radius2 × sin(2 × π/n)

¼ × n × Side2 / tan(π/n)

SUM OF INTERIOR ANGLE OF POLYGON

 (n – 2) x 180°

EXTERIORS ANGLE

Exterior angle = 360°/n

INTERIOR ANGLES

interior angle = 180° – 360°/n

(n−2) × 180° / n

NUMBER OF DIAGONAL OF POLYGON

1/2 n(n-3)

PERIMETER

Perimeter of a polygon or angle is the distance around the outside

PERIMETER FORMULA

SQUARES

Let the x represents the side of angles then:

P = 4 L

TRIANGLE

Let a,b, and c represents length of the triangle

P= a + b + c

RECTANGLE

Let L and W represents the Length and the width of rectangle respectively.

CIRCLE

Let r represents the radius and d represents the diameter

P = C = 2 π r

r= πd

AREA

Area is the amount of space inside the closed, curve or enclosed planar objects or angle.

AREA FORMULA

RECTANGLE

Let L represents the length and W the width of rectangle.

A = L W

SQUARE

Let x represents the side of squares

A = s 2

TRIANGLES

Let b represents base and h the height, let a, b c represents the the side of angles

A = 1 2 b h

A = s ( s − a ) ( s −b ) ( s − c ) where    s = a   +   b   +   c2

PARALLELOGRAMS

If b is the length of the base and h is the height

A = b h

TRAPEZOID

If b 1 and b 2 are the lengths of the parallel sides and h the distance (height) between the parallels

A = b 1   +   b 2 2 h

CIRCLE

A = π r 2

r represents radius

VOLUME

Volume of a shape or objects is the amounts of space displace by it.

VOLUME FORMULAS

PYRAMID

let A be the area of the base and h is the height then

V= V=1/3Ah

PRISM OR CYLINDERS

let A be the A area and h is the height then

V = Ah

SPHERE

r is the radius

V = 4/3πr^3

CUBE

L is the length of the side

V = L^3

RIGHT RECTANGULAR PRISM

If L is the length and W is the Width and H is the height then

V = LWH

INTEREST

Simple interest is one way that interest can be calculated on a loan or investment

INTEREST FORMULAS

SIMPLE INTEREST

When P= principal R= RATE T= TIME

S.I =P x R x T/ 100

COMPOUNDS

P (1 + r/n)^(nt)

The formula for calculating compounds per period instead of multiple time period is:

 A = P ( 1+r ) t
