Obafemi Awolowo University popularly known as OAU has 13 faculty and many accredited courses approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The University is one of the most popular institution in Nigeria which was established in Nigeria between 1961 and 1962 as a result of the report submitted to the Federal Government in September.

OAU admissions requirements

Before you can study at Obafemi Awolowo University there are some requirements that you must meet before you can take part in their admission screening exercise. The requirements are as follows :

• You must aleast 16 years of age before October before you can take part in their admission screening exercise.
• Candidates must choose Obafemi Awolowo University as their first choice of institution.
• You must possess atleast minimum of five credit in relevant subjects including your SSCE/NECO exams at not more than two sittings.
• The general UTME cutoff mark for OAU is 180 but candidates are expected to score above this especially for medical related course like MBBS. Nursing, physiotherapy and some others courses like Accounting, Law and so on like that, to be on safer side of admission.
• If you are direct entry candidates you must apply through Jamb and have all possible requirements.
